At 13:30 on March 14th, local time, gas turbine #1 of HEI’s Pakistan 900 MW Combined Cycle BQPS-III Project was successfully ignited for the first time with normal and stable parameters across the board, marking key progress in the installation and commissioning of Unit #1 and the auxiliary systems of the plant, and an important step taken towards the provisional acceptance of the PTOC of Unit #1.

Since 2022, the project department has completed the commissioning of key systems such as the natural gas system, chemical water system and emergency diesel generator system, creating favorable conditions for the first ignition and grid connection of the gas turbines of Unit #1.
