At 8:58 on June 21, on the banks of the Jinsha River at the junction of Sichuan and Yunnan provinces, unit #14 of the Baihetan Right Bank Hydropower Plant developed, designed and manufactured by HE, was connected to the grid for the first time, meaning the world’s first mega-kilowatt unit officially entered the grid-connected test stage and that the final spurt was launched towards the goal of putting the first batch of units of the plant into production on schedule.
