On November 20, HEI officially signed a supplementary contract for the operation and maintenance of the Bhikki 1,180 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant Project with the proprietor Quaid-E-Azam Electric Thermal Power (Private) Limited (QATPL), marking HEI's entry into the field of power plant control software development and upgrading service for the first time. Mr. Mayo, CEO of the proprietor and their technical director, financial directors and legal director attended the signing ceremony.

The supplementary contract is another breakthrough by HEI in the field of O&M services after the 12-year long-term O&M contract signed between HEI and QATPL for the Bhikki 1,180 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant Project. Different from those for operation and maintenance service and spare parts supply of traditional operation and maintenance projects, this supplementary contract mainly focuses on software upgrading to realize intelligent operation of the power plant.
