On November the 20th, local time, the final handover certificate was obtained for the Ecuador 500kV Extra-high Voltage Transmission and Transformation Project Subsystem D contracted by HEI. The construction of the project officially entered the closing stage and laid a solid foundation for HEI to deeply explore the power market in South America. 

As the first national-level 500kV backbone network power transmission and transformation project in Ecuador, and the first power transmission and transformation EPC project signed between HEI and CELEC EP, the project became effective in 2013 and the interim overall handover was completed on November 22, 2019.
