Recently, the joint venture of HEC, GE Brazil and PowerChina signed the EPC Contract for Ilha Solteira and Jupiá Hydropower Reconstruction, Brazil (for 2nd Batch) , with China Three Gorges International Corporation (CTGI) in Brazil, the owner of this project. For Ilha Solteira hydropower reconstruction project (2nd batch), totally 4 Francis units with the single capacity of 161.5MW and the rated head of 46.4m will be reconstructed; for Jupiá hydropower reconstruction project (2nd batch), totally 4 Francis units with the single capacity of 100.8MW and the rated head of 21.3m will be reconstructed. HEC is in charge of reconstructing the generators of Jupiá power station and the speed regulators, excitation equipment and mechanical BOP equipment of the two power stations.
