On December 22, 2023, local time in Uzbekistan, a significant milestone was achieved at the Enersok Syrdarya II 1600MW Combined Cycle Power Plant project, undertaken by Harbin Electric Corporation International Company. The first pile foundation of the project underwent successful concrete pouring, meeting all technical requirements. This marks the official start of the main foundation construction.

The Enersok Syrdarya II project is currently the largest ongoing combined cycle power plant project in Central Asia and represents another significant undertaking by Harbin Electric Corporation International Company in the region, following their previous project in Angren, Uzbekistan.
