Successful First Grid Synchronization of Unit 2 in the Al-Amarah Single-Cycle to Combined-Cycle Power Plant Expansion Project, Iraq

Recently, Unit 2 of the 2x125MW Al-Amarah Combined Cycle Power Plant Project in Iraq, constructed by Harbin Electric International Company, achieved its first successful grid connection. Currently, the unit is operating smoothly with all parameters in excellent condition.

The Al-Amarah project in Iraq holds significant importance as it represents the first EPC power plant contract secured by an international company in the Iraqi market, contributing to the advancement of the "Belt and Road" initiative. Following the full-load operation of Unit 1 on February 13th, this latest achievement marks a crucial milestone in the expansion of the Al-Amarah Combined Cycle Power Plant project.
