On February 13th at 12:30 local time in Iraq, unit #1 of the Al-Amarah Single-cycle Power Plant to Combined-cycle Power Plant Expansion Project, contracted by HEI, successfully achieved full-load operation. This accomplishment has assisted the project owner in achieving commercial operation and has laid a solid foundation for subsequent project handovers.

The Al-Amara project is the first power plant EPC project for HEI to advance the Belt and Road Initiative and penetrate the Iraqi market, marking an important milestone for HEI.
