At 18:00 on November the 17th, Beijing Time, the Hai Duong BOT Thermal Power Plant Unit #1 with steam turbine generator units provided by HE successfully passed its 336h trial operation. During the trial operation, the unit operated in a stable manner, with various parameters and performance indicators meeting or functioning better than its design values.

The Hai Duong BOT Thermal Power Plant includes two 600 MW subcritical units, and the steam turbines are subcritical, single intermediate reheat, condensing steam turbines designed and manufactured by the HE Steam Turbine Company.

It is learned that the Hai Duong BOT Thermal Power Plant is located in the province of Hai Duong in the north of Vietnam, which is a key project of the Belt and Road Initiative and the largest project with the largest single-investment amount by a Chinese company in Vietnam. As a national key project of Vietnam, it is an important project seeking to benefit people’s livelihoods and promote development with a substantial significance. As planned, the project will effectively solve the problem of local power shortages, promote industrial upgrading and provide new kinetic energy for the economic and social development of Vietnam.
