At 23:15 on February 13, local time in Uzbekistan, the Unit 1 gas turbine of the Uzbekistan Syrdarya Phase II 1600MW Combined Cycle Project, undertaken by Harbin Electric International Co., Ltd. (HEI), was successfully connected to the grid on the first attempt, with all operating parameters stable and meeting required standards.

As the largest combined cycle power plant project in Central Asia, the Syrdarya Phase II Project has faced multiple challenges since its launch, including long transportation cycles, tight schedules, frequent high temperatures, rain, snow and strong winds, as well as winter construction conditions. The project team overcame these difficulties through extensive coordination, successfully achieving the first grid connection of Unit 1 on the first attempt on February 13. Meanwhile, two other important milestones have also been completed: the slow barring test for Unit 2 gas turbine, and the acid pickling work for all high, medium and low pressure systems of both Units 1 and 2 waste heat boilers.
