At present, Harbin Electric Corporation has 4,800+ researchers and 1,800+ employees with master’s or doctoral degrees.

It has acquired 34 state science and technology progress prizes, and 4,380 valid patents, including 1,242 for inventions. Moreover, it has taken the lead in preparing and releasing two international standards and 68 national standards. Among these standards, the IEC standard for water turbines is the first international standard in electric rotating machinery prepared under the leadership of a Chinese organization.
