Harbin Electric Corporation is China’s first base for the R&D and manufacturing of electric generators and complete equipment export.

After more than 70 years of development, our company has become a recognized expert in hydropower, nuclear power, coal-fired power, gas-fired power, and wind power projects, power devices for ships, electric drives, and general contracting of power projects with its business spanning equipment development, construction and manufacturing services. Hitherto, the capacity of electric generators we have produced has amounted to 500 million KW. Moreover, our company has become suppliers to 800 medium- and large-sized power stations across the globe with its products exported to more than 50 countries and regions. Our large hydroelectric generator sets contribute around half of the installed capacity to Chinese hydropower plants, and main equipment for coal-fired and nuclear power plants and heavy-duty gas turbines we have produced contribute around 1/3 of the total installed capacity to Chinese gas-fired, coal-fired, and nuclear power plants.

By developing a business structure from new power systems, green and low-carbon drive systems to clean and efficient industrial systems, accelerating the development of new quality productive forces, and keeping enhancing fundamental functions and core competitive advantages, it is making every effort to promote the transition towards green economic and social development, and making greater contributions to building up the overall strength of our nation and achieving national rejuvenation through modernization with Chinese characteristics.
