Our company has an extended array of hydropower products such as Francis turbines, axial-flow turbines, tubular turbines, pumped-storage hydroelectricity (PSH) systems, and impulse turbines, and has attained a world-leading level in hydraulic R & D, design and manufacturing. It has developed the turbine sets at Baihetan Hydropower Station with a capacity of 1000MW for each turbine (the largest in the world), a PSH system with a rated head of 724m (the highest in the world), and the only array of 500MW impulse turbines with a high hydraulic head in China. Our large water turbine sets contribute half of the total installed capacity to Chinese hydropower stations.

Our company has a manufacturing base for main equipment used for nuclear reactions and another manufacturing base for main conventional equipment, which can annually manufacture four sets of equipment with a capacity of one million KW for each set. Our services extend to the Hualong One, the Guohe One (CAP1400), VVER, high temperature gas-cooled reactors, fast reactors, small reactors, among others.

Our company has an annual capacity of 3000MW in the production of main equipment for coal-fired power plants, which can address many needs across the world. It has developed a full range of boilers from medium pressure to ultra-supercritical, with better technological level and product performance than most Chinese counterparts, acquired the world’s advanced technology for the development of steam turbines, and attained core technologies for the design and manufacturing of turbo generators. The main equipment for coal-fired power plants produced by our company contributes about 1/3 of the total installed capacity in China, and our products have been supplied to more than 500 power plants across the country and exported to more than 30 countries/regions.

Our company is able to mass produce key components of heavy-duty gas turbines. It is also able to mass produce small and medium-sized gas turbines. Our products for heavy-duty gas turbines include combined cycle generator sets such as 9F.03, 9F.05, 13E2, and 9H.01. Our achievements in small and medium-sized gas turbines include the establishment of a full-fledged manufacturing system for small and medium-sized gas turbines with a world-leading technological level through the localization of the CGT25-D gas turbine. Besides, our company is well-performed in the EPC of E-, F-, and H-Class gas turbines, and has contributed around 1/3 of the total installed capacity to heavy-duty gas turbines in China.

With a world-leading technological level, our company is able to design and provide power islands, heat storage systems, steam generating systems and key equipment for solar power plants. There are three types of steam generating systems using parabolic-trough collectors, central tower receivers and linear Fresnel systems, which cater to two heat storage media on the market — heat transfer oil and molten salt. Each system’s installed capacity ranges from 50MW to 300MW.

Thanks to independent innovations, our company has acquired new technologies for energy storage such as compressed-air energy storage, the molten salt technology, and compressed carbon dioxide energy storage. It is a competent developer, supplier and general contractor of key equipment such as compressors, air turbines, heat storage and exchange equipment, gas storage devices, and discharge generators. In the field of compressed-air energy storage, our company has a market share of around 60%, supplying core equipment with a capacity ranging from 10MW to 350MW to power stations. Moreover, it has made huge breakthroughs in technological research and equipment development, and demonstration projects. The support for the development of an array of national demonstration projects such as power projects in the salt caverns of Jintan, Jiangsu and in Yingcheng, Hubei, in particular, has greatly promoted the commercial development of China’s energy storage industry and set a good example to our counterparts.

At present, Harbin Electric Corporation has 347 motor series and nearly 4,000 types of products with a capacity from 0.37KW to 80,000KW, including all kinds of industrial motors.
