On January 31, local time, the Unit 1 gas turbine of the Uzbekistan 1,600 MW Syrdarya II Combined-Cycle Gas Turbine Power Project, undertaken by Harbin Electric International Co., Ltd. (HEI), successfully achieved first ignition, with all operating parameters meeting required standards. This milestone marks a significant achievement in the installation and commissioning of Unit 1 and the plant's auxiliary systems, representing an important step toward the successful completion of the project.

HEI has fully implemented the Group's requirements for "ensuring performance in international projects". The project management team leveraged its lean management advantages to efficiently coordinate multiple resources, including the client and supervision consultants, successfully overcoming key technical challenges such as the commissioning of the natural gas system, thereby clearing the way for the smooth ignition of the gas turbine.

The successful ignition of the Unit 1 gas turbine not only holds great significance for deepening China-Uzbekistan energy cooperation and improving the energy infrastructure in the Central Asian region, but also injects new momentum into HE's efforts to expand its energy cooperation network under the Belt and Road Initiative.
