On July 9, the Tarakan 2x150MW Biomass Coupled Self-provided Power Plant Project in Indonesia (referred to as the "Tarakan Project"), undertaken by Harbin Electric International Company (HEI), officially awarded the Temporary Taking-Over Certificate (TOC). Both generating units have successfully entered the warranty period, and the overall project schedule meets the requirements of the main contract, marking the successful completion of the project.

The Tarakan Project is among the first new projects implemented following the Indonesian government’s new policy supporting biomass coupled power generation technology, carrying strong demonstration and leadership significance. As the third power station completed by HEI in the Indonesian market - following the successful Paiton and Banten power plants—the project represents a key breakthrough in filling the company's performance gap and expanding its business footprint in the captive power sector. It also exemplifies the company’s active commitment to green development and its efforts to foster and advance new quality productive forces.
