On February 2, local time in Paris, a delegation headed by HE President Si Zefu paid a visit to the Headquarters of International Energy Agency (IEA), and they were warmly received by IEA Executive Director Fatih Birol et al.

Si and his delegation particularly introduced to IEA experts the history, industrial layout and development strategy of HE.

IEA economists presented the “2017 World Energy Investment Trends” and the “2017 World Energy Outlook on China” to Si and his delegation, and introduced in details a comparison between traditional and new energy investments, the new energy industry development status and China’s important position in the new energy development.

The sides also had in-depth discussions about issues of common concern, such as the complementation between traditional and new energy, the renewable energy development prospects and the nuclear power market development in China.
