Recently, HE has won the bidding of the Indonesian West Kalimatan Seawater Desalination Project and entered the Indonesian seawater desalination market for the first time.

In July 2017, the Pakistani Kasim Seawater Desalination Project contracted by HE — a demonstration project corresponding to the “Belt and Road” Initiative — won the 2017 Chinese Top 10 High-quality Project Prize of Water Industry. The ultrafiltration and two-stage reverse penetration design was adopted in the project to provide the power plant with boiler feed water, industrial water and domestic drinking water. The water supply capacity reached 17,000 tons/day.
