On November 12, the electric machine company subordinate to HE received the notice of award for the whole set of 6 units and accessory equipment from Shandong Wendeng Pumped Storage Power Plant, which was another project of the mainstream 300MW pumped storage unit with the 400m water head range and the speed of 428.6rpm HE had successfully acquired after the pumped storage projects such as Shenzhen Project, Fengning Phase I Project and Huanggou Project.

For Wendeng Project, the world`s most advanced 4-branch symmetrized winding technique, created exclusively by the electric machine company, is adopted for the generator motor, which will have a far-reaching influence on the future development of the pumped storage technology.
